Liverpool handed Guehi chance with demand made

Marc Guehi is eyeing up a move to Liverpool with Crystal Palace wanting one of the Reds' brightest prospects in return.

The defender has seen his stock rise over the past 12 months, excelling for England at the Euros and was the subject of several bids from Newcastle in the summer. The Eagles opted to resist as they remained determined to keep hold of their centre-half.

Guehi, when he does eventually leave Selhurst Park, wants to join a Champions League outfit and Liverpool are his preferred destination. His contract is winding down which could limit the fee Palace can demand when he does depart the capital.

The Eagles though are keeping tabs on Liverpool youngster Ben Doak, who is currently away on loan at Middlesbrough. He's continued to impress and Palace's hierarchy may look to include the Scot in any deal that involves Guehi's exit.
